Prices

  • Bed price from: $19.00- $50 USD, pre-tax

 Dorm bed with shared bath in the hall  $19 per night, plus tax
 Dorm bed with shared bath in room  $22 per night, plus tax
 Private room with shared bath in room  $50 per night, plus tax

  • Additional $3.00, per person, per night if you do not have a current Hostelling International membership.
  • HI-Austin will charge a 15% Lodging Tax on all overnight stays in accordance with Texas state law.

  • Guest must be at least 18 years of age to check-in, or accompanied by an adult.
  • Guest must show a government issued ID at check-in.

HI-Austin will charge a $3/night special events fee for dates occurring during Austin City Limits (ACL) Festival (Oct. 1-4, 2010) and SXSW (March 2011). Please contact the hostel directly for bookings made during these times.

Group reservations of more than 6 total beds require 50% hostel deposit and minimum one week cancellation notice.

Directions

Location: 3km-Southern shore of Lady Bird Lake, East of Interstate 35, off of Riverside Drive.

From Bus Station: By bus: Walk across the parking lot to the corner bus stop and take bus #7 southbound to Burton and East Riverside Drive.  Walk down the hill along Tinnin Ford Road.  The road will end at South Lakeshore Boulevard and we are across the street to the right.

Taxis are available at the station as well - fare should be around $20.

Parking: At the hostel

From Rail:

Head eastbound to Congress and 5th Street. Transfter to either bus #7 or #20 southbound, exiting at Burton and East Riverside Drive. Walk down the hill along Tinnin Ford Road. The road will end at South Lakeshore Blvd. and we are across the street to the right.

Taxis are available at the station as well, fair should be about $10.

From Airport: By car: 15 Minute drive.  Take Highway 71 west towards Austin.  Merge onto Interstate 35 North and exit @ Riverside Drive (Exit # 233).  Head east on Riverside Drive and turn left at the 7/11 onto South Lakeshore Boulevard.  We are located about 400 meters down the street on the left.

By bus: Take bus #350 to ACC (Austin Community College) and transfer to bus #20.  Get off at Burton and East Riverside Drive.  Walk down the hill along Tinnin Ford Road.  The road will end at South Lakeshore Boulevard and we are across the street to the right.

Taxis are available at the airport as well - fare should be about $20.
